Here in Greece there is a totally new trend, starts from Orthodox culture, but transformed in to a new way. In every persons life there are a two main important dates, according to the religion: his christening and his wedding. That's the days when we show and share our love with the God we trust.
This two dates in Greece were transformed into a "glendi"-big celebration. But for the last years, there is a new trend: the christening and wedding ceremonies for the just married couple are held in the church at the same day. I could not tell you about the background of this trend, but it amazed me so much!
